Welcome to TJN Kids

We absolutely love kids at TJN and we can't wait for them to know and learn
about the God who created them, loves them, and is with them each and everyday.
Everything that is experienced in TJN Kids is designed to do just that.

Lil' Trekkers | Birth-Preschool

Lil' Trekkers is a place where kids get to play, hear a Bible story, learn bible verses, sing, make friends, and be encouraged by their leaders to make wise decisions.
We love to partner with parents to introduce kids to what it means to follow Jesus.

Kidventure | Grades K-5

In Kidventure, kids have a place where they can make the decision to follow Jesus and grow in their faith.
They'll have a fun time learning about God with music, games, memory verses and teaching that is designed just for them.

We can’t wait to serve you and your family!

When you get to TJN, look for the Kids Check-In area.

A staff or volunteer will be there to answer any questions you have,

help you get checked in, and find the right room for your child.

Plan to arrive early so you can drop off your kids and head into the service without missing anything!

Missing Church this Weekend?

God has given us an amazing mission, to shine his love for the whole world to see! When we love, serve, and share Jesus’ story, we’re like shining lights, showing everyone who God is.

When the church first started, people wondered who they should share Jesus’ story with. This week, we’ll hear about a big decision the church leaders made and find out why Jesus’ story really is for everyone in the world.

Big Idea: I can share God’s love with everyone.

At Home: Each night, pray that someone you know would feel God’s love during the next day.

Ask: Who did Peter share God’s love with in our Bible Adventure? (Cornelius)
How can we share God’s love with others? (Invite them to church, tell them God loves them, do kind things for people)

Memory Verse:  Acts 1:8 |  “You will even tell other people about me from one end of the earth to the other.”

The story of Jesus changes everything.
If life is a work of art, Jesus has the power to turn it into something beautiful, like switching from black and white to full technicolor.

Who can follow God? Is Jesus’ story only for certain people, or is it for everyone? This week, we’ll find out how Peter discovered God’s love really is for everyone.

Big Idea: God’s love is for everyone.

After Video Questions:
What do you think will happen if Jesse is unkind back to Mason? (He’ll probably keep being mean.)
What different choice could Jesse make? (He could include Mason, or choose to be kind.)
Have you ever been left out of something? How did you feel?

Look up and read: 1 John 4:9-11. This verse talks about God’s love for us and how we should love others.

Discuss: Is there anyone at ______________ (ex. School) that you haven’t thought about before who might need to know about God’s love? What are some ways you could show God’s love to people at __________ (ex. School)? (invite them to church, do something kind, ask them to hang out with you, etc.)

The Point: God’s love is for everyone and we can share his love with other people!

Memory Verse: Ephesians 2:10 | We are God’s creation. He created us to belong to Christ Jesus. Now we can do good works. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.

Additional Information

We are doing everything we can to maintain a clean and safe environment for our kids and volunteers.
Here’s what you can expect:

  • Classrooms will be cleaned before and after services
  • Kids will need to wash their hands prior to entering classes
  • Masks are suggested for everyone over the age of 6
  • Children will receive their own supplies necessary to participate in activities
  • Kids will use hand sanitizer as needed throughout the service
  • Snacks will be individually wrapped
  • Volunteers will use gloves during snack and whenever necessary

All Kids volunteers and staff are background-checked and trained before they start volunteering—so know that your kids are in safe hands.

Every weekend at Kids Check-In, your family is assigned a random code that is on your child’s name tag and your security tag. You will use your security tag during pick up so we can determine each child goes home with who brought them.

Well-Child Policy

If your child feels sick at home, they’ll feel sick at church.  We want all of our kids and volunteers to remain healthy and happy, so we ask that kids be kept at home if they’re not feeling well.  We’ll be very excited to see them the following week!

In addition if your child has had any of the following symptoms within the last 24 it would be best if they stayed home and rested up to be ready to come back when they feel better.

  • Fever (100 or higher)
  • Flu symptoms: vomiting, diarrhea, chills
  • Excessive signs of a cold: coughing, sneezing, sore throat, runny nose (except for clear)
  • Rash
  • Discharge from eyes or ears
  • Communicable skin infections (impetigo, boils, ringworm)
  • Childhood diseases such as: chicken pox, mumps, measles, rubella, pertussis, or scarlet fever
  • Lice
